Delete Your UsTwo Account
Last updated: August 10, 2026
This page explains how to delete your account in UsTwo (the app published on Google Play as UsTwo) and exactly what happens to your data when you do.
Option 1: Delete from inside the app
This is immediate and permanent. There is no waiting period and no confirmation email.
- Open UsTwo on your device.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the Account section.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm when prompted.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
Use this if you have already uninstalled the app, or cannot sign in to your account.
- Email ustwo.app.contact@gmail.com.
- Send it from the email address on your account, so we can confirm the request is yours.
- Include your user ID, which you can copy from the app under Profile → Account → User ID.
- Put "Delete my account" in the subject line.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes all of the following from our servers:
- Your profile: display name, email address, profile picture, friend code and app settings.
- Your login credentials, including any email, Google or Apple sign-in linked to the account.
- Your friendships, and with them everything you and each friend shared — messages, daily question answers, statuses, streaks, quizzes and games.
- Your shared pets and plants, and their care history.
- Your coin balance, coin ledger and any items you unlocked.
- Photos and drawings you sent, and any shared canvas drawings and snapshots.
- Quiz recordings and images you created.
- Your saved location for the distance widget, and your notification tokens and preferences.
- Any feedback you sent us through the app.
What is kept, and for how long
A small amount of information survives deletion. None of it can be used to restore your account.
- Purchase and subscription records — held by Google Play, and by our subscription provider RevenueCat, for accounting, tax and refund purposes. We cannot delete these on your behalf; they are governed by Google's and RevenueCat's own retention policies.
- Product analytics and install attribution — usage events already recorded by our analytics providers (PostHog and Singular) are retained under their policies. These are keyed to an internal identifier that is no longer connected to any profile once your account is deleted.
- Encrypted server backups — our database is backed up automatically. Deleted data can persist in those encrypted backups for up to 30 days before the backups holding it are overwritten. It is not accessible in the app during that time and is never restored to a live account.
- Records we are legally required to keep — for example, information needed to comply with the law or to handle a report of abuse or fraud. We keep only what is necessary and only for as long as required.
